Real Patients – Real Results

Replacing the Missing Tooth Structure

  • One of our patients, a young adult who had successfully straightened his teeth with braces, was left with worn areas caused by the previous misalignment of his crooked teeth. Over time, this wear had altered the shape and look of his teeth.
  • To restore the natural appearance of his smile, we used anterior white fillings to replace the missing tooth structure. These fillings are meticulously crafted to match the original color and shape of his teeth, resulting in a seamless blend with his natural smile. By carefully applying these white fillings, we not only improved the aesthetics of his teeth but also enhanced their long-term durability.
  • This approach enables us to restore teeth affected by wear, decay, or minor damage without the need for more extensive procedures like crowns. The outcome? A beautifully restored smile that looks completely natural, allowing our patient to walk away feeling empowered and confident.
  • Before & After Photos: The photos above showcase the remarkable transformation. As you can see, the anterior white fillings helped recreate the patient’s original tooth shape, giving him a fresh, balanced, and natural smile. His newfound confidence reflects the precise care and skill that went into restoring his teeth.

Transforming a Smile: A Complete Makeover with Crown Lengthening, White Fillings, and Porcelain Veneers

  • This patient was unhappy with the overall appearance of her smile. She was particularly concerned about the gaps between her lower teeth, the discoloration of her aging composite veneers, and the uneven size of one of her front teeth, which appeared smaller than the others.
  • To address these issues, we performed a crown lengthening procedure on her front tooth to reveal more of the natural crown, creating a more balanced and harmonious appearance. Next, we used white fillings to close the gaps in her lower teeth, giving her a more uniform and polished look. Finally, we applied porcelain veneers to her four front teeth, dramatically enhancing the aesthetics of her smile.
  • The result? She was thrilled with her new smile, feeling more confident and ecstatic about the transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetic Dentistry

What can dental veneers do for my smile?

Do you avoid conversations or photos because of dental flaws? Porcelain dental veneers might be the solution you need. These thin, customized shells can transform your smile in many ways, including:

  • Whiten stubbornly discolored teeth.
  • Close unwanted spaces between teeth.
  • Repair chips, cracks, and worn-down teeth.
  • Straighten mildly crooked teeth.
  • Resize or reshape uneven teeth.

Our dentists have extensive experience and will work with you to achieve results you’ll love. Whether you want a minor upgrade or a dramatic transformation, we’ll provide personalized care tailored to your needs.

Does the dental veneer procedure hurt?

At our Arlington office, we prioritize your comfort. Placing veneers is a comfortable, stress-free procedure. Before teeth preparation, we’ll administer local anesthesia to manage any discomfort. If you are anxious about the procedure, let us know. We offer sedation to ensure a relaxing, stress-free experience. You may experience some sensitivity afterward, but it’s usually mild and short-lived.

How many veneers do I need?

The number of veneers depends on your needs and smile goals. Some patients only require one or two veneers to correct specific issues. However, others need a full set (6-10 veneers on the upper teeth) for a dramatic transformation. Your dentist in Arlington for veneers will help you decide what works best for your goals and budget.

Can porcelain veneers stain?

No! Porcelain veneers don’t absorb stains from coffee, soda, beets, berries, red wine, and other staining substances. This stain-resistance helps you maintain a brighter, whiter smile for many years.

Do dental veneers damage my teeth?

No! Dental veneers do not damage your teeth in any way. Some enamel removal is usually needed to ensure a proper fit, but we remove a very small amount (less than 0.5 mm). This preparation doesn’t compromise the structural integrity of your teeth, so you’ll still be able to eat without any limitations.

How long do dental veneers last?

Veneers are created from premium materials that can withstand the everyday demands of your teeth. Your veneers can last 10-15 years or longer with good upkeep. Brush and floss your teeth diligently to prevent plaque buildup. While porcelain veneers are durable, they are not indestructible. So, avoid poor oral habits such as fingernail biting or tearing packages.

If you have veneer issues such as cracking or detachment, contact our office immediately. The earlier we address issues, the better the outcomes.

Are dental veneers permanent?

Veneers are considered a long-term solution because enamel removal is irreversible. While veneers may eventually need replacement, they are designed to last for many years.

How much do dental veneers cost in Arlington, WA?

The cost varies depending on the number of veneers and the complexity of your case. Our office will share a cost breakdown during your consultation to avoid surprises later. While veneers are an investment, many patients feel the confidence and durability they provide make them well worth it.

Does insurance cover the cost of dental veneers?

Dental insurance doesn’t cover purely cosmetic procedures, including veneers. However, partial coverage may apply if a veneer is used to restore the health and function of a damaged tooth. Our team will review your coverage and help you understand your benefits beforehand. We’ll also discuss how dental financing and our in-house savings plan can help make your treatment more affordable.
